About this item
Hobby-ceramics Christmas tree from one of the first commercial tree molds, copyrighted by the Atlantic Mold Company in 1958 and sold to ceramic studios across the U.S. Hobbyists poured, glazed and fired the tree, then lit it from inside so small plastic 'bulbs' set into holes would glow. The date stamped on the bottom is the mold date, not when the tree was made.

Research notes
End year 1999 comes from secondary reports (search snippets) that Atlantic Mold closed in 1999 and sold its molds; that was not confirmed by the two fetched sources. Other mold makers (Holland Mold, Arnel's, Dogwood) made similar trees.
